The experience

The Sunrise Flight is our shared balloon experience: the most natural way to discover Marrakech from above. You leave your hotel in the dark, watch the balloon come to life in the blue hour, then lift off as the first light reaches the plain.
From the basket, the palm groves, villages and fields of the Haouz plain spread out below you, with the snow line of the High Atlas on the horizon on clear mornings. After landing, the morning continues on the ground.

How the morning unfolds

Before you book.

The Sunrise Flight costs €79 per person. A Private Balloon, reserved for your group only, costs €3,600. You pay a 25% deposit online to confirm your date (€19.75 per person, or €900 for a private balloon) and the remaining 75% on the morning of your flight.

Safety comes before the schedule. If wind or visibility are not suitable on the morning, the flight does not take place. You can then move your flight to another date or receive a refund.

Balloons fly at sunrise, when the air is calmest. Hotel pickup is between 5:00 and 5:30 am, depending on where your hotel or riad is in Marrakech. We confirm your exact time the day before your flight.

Plan for the whole morning. The flight itself lasts 40 to 60 minutes depending on the weather, and the full experience, from pickup to drop-off, takes 4 h 30 to 5 h.

We pick you up and drop you back at your hotel or riad in Marrakech. Please be ready on time: the driver waits 10 minutes at most. When you book, simply give us the name of your hotel or riad; for riads deep in the medina we will confirm a nearby meeting point.

On the Sunrise Flight, a Moroccan breakfast is served after landing. Breakfast served in the basket during the flight is exclusive to the Private Balloon.

Children can fly from the age of 10.

Balloon flights are not recommended for pregnant women, people with a fear of heights, or people with heart or respiratory conditions. If in doubt, tell us before booking and we will advise you honestly.

Dress in layers: it is cold before dawn and warms up quickly after sunrise. Wear flat, closed shoes and bring a hat or cap. Avoid long loose scarves.

Weather cancellations are always rescheduled or refunded. If you cancel: 7 days or more before your flight, your deposit is refunded in full; 4 to 6 days before, 50% of the deposit is refunded; 3 days or less before, the deposit is not refunded. Date changes follow the same rules — but contact us: if we still have availability, we can often move your flight free of charge.
